This is the story of “The Banshee’s Cry” a cozy pub on the coast of Ireland, told by it’s owner, an Irishman, raised on rich oral
tradition. He tells of his grandmother and her stories of the, “Motherland”... where the earth greets the sea and the wailing banshees cry and of the sinking sensation in his chest when she passed away.
He describes his subsequent descent into despair and his quest, through destitution and dementia, for the source of his mysterious anguish.
Drifting into the midsts of an ageless Pagan celebration, he
rediscovers his connection to the realm of the dead and awakens ancient memories, which remind him of his pained past.
Who is this man that feels so empty, so lost? What are these fleeting memories of wailing banshees, those tormented spirits forever mourning? Does time really stand still when lovers meet? Can the man survive the echoes of his mind and the haunting hollow in his heart from beyond the grave?
